Cody Brown is an advisor with Engel & Voelkers Black Hills in Rapid City, SD. He was born and raised in Columbus, Nebraska and has lived in and around the beautiful Black Hills off and on now for over a decade. In his free time, he loves going on adventures with his son Lennon, his partner Corey along with spending time with friends, family, and their beloved pets. Other hobbies include gardening, collecting rocks, swimming, hiking, traveling, and volunteering for Make-A-Wish South Dakota and his nonprofit that he created Flora Grace.
Cody received his associate degree in business administration from National American University and has worked in the customer care industry since he was 13. This has given him insight and knowledge on how people want to be treated, how to work hard, doing what’s right and how to make strong and lasting relationships in life. He started studying real estate in 2016 and acquired his real estate license in January of 2017.
Cody completed his three-year term, as a local director, on the Black Hills Association of Realtors Board of Directors in 2021. He was previously a part of the Black Hills Association of Realtors Outreach Committee for 2018 which helped raise ten thousand dollars for Lutheran Social Services. Other past committee assignments include the Technology and Grievance Committees for 2019, RPAC Fundraising Committee, MLS Committee and Grievance Committee for 2020 along with the MLS Committee and Grievance Committee in 2021. Cody has also received the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Top Producing Agent (units) from Engel & Voelkers in Rapid City, SD.
Cody is a certified Military Relocation Professional (MRP) through the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He uses his knowledge learned in that training to help our men and women in uniform find the right home for their family.
Cody’s mission is to serve his clients with top rated customer care and treat them as if they are members of his own family. They will be guided through the home buying and selling activities with an extra emphasis on transparency, integrity, and communication.
