Dakota Feeding Company (DFC) is one of South Dakotas largest cattle feeding facilities and located in the heart of some of the best cattle and grain production in the United States. Originally built in 1972, DFC is conveniently located 5 miles east of the city of Onida, South Dakota. Onida is home to Ringneck Energy & Feed, supplying the operation with distillers grain, as well as Oahe & CHS grain elevators, and local grain producers to supply the remaining feed base. Access to multiple sale barns and beef processing plants makes DFC a prime location. Owner states the outdoor capacity is 18,000-20,000 head and is currently permitted at 15,000 head with the State.
